Croatian: Vojnica Njema?ke narodne skupine
English: Active Force of German minority
Founded: 31 July 1941
Part of the Ustaška Vojnica : July 1941 - 1943/1945
On 31st July 1941, Einsatzstaffel (ES) der Deutschen Mannschaft was established as part of Deutsche Mannschaft (main organization of ethnic Germans in Croatia). Most soldiers of Einsatzstaffel (ES) were from Slavonia and Srijem. First commander of this unit was Jakob Lichtenberger, appointed there by the leader of ethnic Germans in Croatia Volksgruppenführer Branimir Altgayer, Einsatzstaffel (ES) was in military way under command of Main HQ of Ustasha Army. It was Ustasha Active unit. Soldiers of Einsatzstaffel (ES) at first worn uniforms of Croatian Domobranstvo. Waffen SS style uniforms were introduced in the begging of 1942.

At the end of 1942, Einsatzstaffel-Heimatschutzregiment (Homeland Defense Regiment) was organized with two battalions for elder German ethnic reservists.

Eid:

Die Wehrpflichtigen aus der Deutschen Volksgruppe in Kroatien leisten durch das Wehrgesetz vorgeschriebenen Eid in deutscher Sprache in folgendem Wortlaut:

„Ich schwöre bei Gott dem Allmächtigen und Allwissenden, ich schwöre bei allem, was mir auf dieser Welt teuer und heilig ist, und gebe mein Ehrenwort, daß ich dem Führer aller Deutschen, wie dem kroatischen Staat und dem Poglavnik als seinem Vertreter stets die Treue wahren, die gemeinsamen Interessen meines deutschen  und des kroatischen Volkes stets vertreten, die Verfassung und Gesetze des kroatischen Volkes stets befolgen, als Soldat meine Pflicht erfüllen, und die Befehle der Vorgesetzten gewissenhaft ausführen, und in Verteidigung des kroatischen Staates stets tapfer kämpfen werde. So war mir Gott helfe.“
